English: A photograph of a major fire.
This photograph was taken during a major fire involving an abandoned convent in Massueville, Quebec, Canada. The fire was so violent that firefighters had to focus their efforts on saving the adjacent church instead of attacking the involved building. This photograph is a good example of what can be done with specialized fire photography, as the public did not have access to this extraordinary point of view and it was necessary to have fire photographer credentials to take pictures from there.

Dieses Foto wurde während eines Großbrandes in einem verlassenen Kloster in Massueville, Quebec, Canada aufgenommen. Das Feuer war so gewaltig, dass die Feuerwehrmänner ihre Bemühungen nicht auf das betroffene Gebäude konzentrierten, sondern auf den Schutz der nebenan stehenden Kirche.

Die Aufnahme ist ein gutes Beispiel für die Möglichkeiten von Einsatzfotografie. Die Öffentlichkeit hat zu diesem Einsatzort keinen Zugang, nur speziell ausgebildete Einsatzfotografen, die über eine Zulassung und entsprechende Schutzausrüstung verfügen, können dort Bilder aufnehmen.

Photo prise durant un incendie majeur survenu dans un couvent abandonné à Massueville, au Québec (Canada). L'incendie a été si violent que les pompiers ont du protéger une église adjacente plutôt que de s'attaquer au bâtiment incendié lui même. Cette photo est un bon exemple de ce que peut faire un fire photographer (photographe incendie), le public n'ayant pas pu accéder à ce très bon point de vue qui n'était accessible qu'à des personnes autorisées.
Česky: Fotografie velkého požáru
Fotografie byla pořízena během velkého požáru opuštěného kláštera v Massuville v kanadské provincii Quebec. Požár byl tak silný, že se hasiči museli zaměřit na záchranu sousedícího kostela, místo aby hasili samotný klášter. Tato fotografie je dobrým příkladem možností specializované požární fotografie, kdy veřejnost nemá přístup tak blízko k ohni. Fotograf musel mít speciální povolení, aby mohl tento záběr z daného místa vyfotografovat.

Fotografia została wykonana w czasie wielkiego pożaru obejmującego opuszczony budynek klasztoru w kanadyjskiej prowincji Quebec. Pożar był tak silny, że strażacy musieli skoncentrować swoje wysiłki na przyległym kościele zamiast gasić sam klasztor. To zdjęcie jest dobrym przykładem specjalistycznej fotografii pożaru, gdyż nieupoważnione osoby nie mogły się dostać tak blisko ognia. Aby wykonać zdjęcie z tak dogodnego miejsca, fotograf musiał mieć specjalne pozwolenie.
